Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
-Use various hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming of seafood
-Interact and be a land-based coordinator on the docks with our private fleet of boats & captains daily to collect fish and re-supply

-Communicate with customers regarding general fish info
-Hours; 7-9 hour daily shifts, 40 to 50+ hours per week, O.T. + seasonal bonus + tips + free staff housing & meals.

Kingfisher Charters seeks a fish cutter to join our team. The job requires a person who has proficient knife skills and can do basic but precise cuts on 2-3 species of fish. This land-based job will spend part of each day at the harbor collaborating with our captains and fleet of boats, coordinating fish pick-up and other supplies. The person will work within a team of 3-5 employees helping to achieve daily goals and assisting in guests’ interaction along with processing the fish caught by guests. Kingfisher Charters offers a consistent schedule and responsibilities along with opportunities for overtime.

Job Description:
Are you interested in a unique opportunity working seasonally at a fishing lodge in Alaska? Kingfisher Charters seeks full-time Housekeeping/Serving staff to work mid-May thru mid-September, 2023.
Job responsibilities include working in a modern, newly renovated Lodge buildings housekeeping and cleaning all areas including overseeing basic laundry. Also providing hospitality services such as serving breakfast or dinner in our 65 seat dining room and transporting our customers to and from the dining room to the fishing dock. Shifts can either be morning thru midday or midday thru evening.

The candidate must have 1-3 years in a customer service industry job, with some aspect of supervisory or management duties as part of their job responsibilities. A strong work ethic with a track record of reliability is a must along with excellent communicative skills and cognitive ability.
An Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for tracking our fishing group's lodge stay both administratively and with in-person customer service. They’ll oversee all airport arrivals, check-in at our Lodge and daily transfers to our fleet of boats. This person is also responsible for communicating operational numbers to various lodge departments such as housekeeping, fishing and the dining room.

Our Lodge was established 30+ years ago and is known for premier fishing trips with an exemplary reputation for service and food.
The Line Cook position is responsible for working within a team preparing and cooking all aspects of our guest's dining experience with primary duties focused on appetizers and dinner for 60-70 people daily. They will work with the Head Chef developing the menu. Daily shifts are 8-10 hours afternoon thru late evening with 50-60 hours per week on a 6 day work schedule.
A successful candidate will be an integral part of a 4-6 person kitchen team including cross training to cover all kitchen duties. They will be proficient in multiple cooking procedures with a focus on seafood and steak preparation. Uphold cleanliness and safety standards along with helping to maintain all equipment and kitchen areas. This person will help the Head Chef meet short and long term goals.

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to be a chef at an established and thriving Alaska fishing lodge? Kingfisher Charters & Lodge is seeking a Breakfast chef with 2-3 years of commercial kitchen experience or a culinary degree to work from May thru September 15, 2023.
The Breakfast Chef is responsible for all aspects of our guest's breakfast dining experience including the preparation and cooking of breakfast for 65-75 guests spread over 2 servings daily. This person will work with our Head Chef on menu planning, inventory and ordering to present a varied continental and hot entrée focused buffet meal.
A successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and be extremely reliable. As the sole chef during breakfast, they must work independently and finish tasks in a timely manner. They will also need to coordinate with the Head Chef daily goals and be communicative with a serving staff of 2-3 people.
The Breakfast Chef is responsible for the upkeep of sanitation and safety standards during their shift in the kitchen and in sharing all aspects of Kitchen prep and cleanliness within an overall cooking staff of 4-6 people. A Breakfast Chef's daily shift is 8-9 hours starting early morning thru midday. Work weeks are 6 days with an average of 50+ hours per week.
